Quick answer: If you want to try float therapy in Vietnam, go to Ōmni Space in Thao Dien, Ho Chi Minh City. It is run by Float Vietnam, the team that opened the country’s first float centre in Hanoi in 2017, and offers private single and couple float rooms with English-speaking staff, open daily 9:00–21:00. We could not find dedicated float centres in Da Nang, Hoi An or Nha Trang as of October 2026, and Float Hanoi is temporarily closed.
Where can you float in Vietnam?
Float therapy is still rare in Vietnam. Float Vietnam opened the first float centre, Float Hanoi, in 2017 with self-built tanks, followed by Float Saigon in 2019. Today Float Vietnam’s float rooms are at Ōmni Space, which opened in Thao Dien, Ho Chi Minh City, in 2025: two private rooms with open pools behind light-blocking glass, each holding about 500 kg of Epsom salt in about 25 cm of water kept near skin temperature. Float Hanoi is temporarily closed. When we searched in October 2026 we could not find a dedicated float centre in Da Nang, Hoi An or Nha Trang; if you are travelling there, check recent reviews and photos before booking anything called a “float”. Some spas offer a dry float (lying on a warm water bed) or a floating sound bath on a mat in an ordinary pool. These can be relaxing, but they are not float therapy: there is no dense salt water, and usually no darkness and silence. See what is dry float and floating sound bath vs float therapy.

Why expats and travellers float in Saigon
Ho Chi Minh City is exciting, but it is also hot, humid and loud, and many expats and visitors arrive tired from long flights and time-zone changes. A float room offers the opposite: darkness, silence and water at skin temperature, so the body can rest without effort. Research on floating is still small but fairly consistent for short-term stress and anxiety; a 2014 trial of 65 healthy adults found lower stress and better self-rated sleep after 12 floats, and a 2018 study found a large drop in anxiety after a single session. Evidence for jet lag specifically does not exist, so think of a float as deep rest after a long journey rather than a fix for jet lag. Many guests also combine a float with the infrared sauna or cold plunge on site. For the research, see the Laureate Institute studies and float therapy for sleep.

How much does floating cost in Vietnam?
Prices at Ōmni Space in 2026 are in Vietnamese dong. Beginners usually start with 90 minutes, because it takes 20–30 minutes to fully let go. If you live in Saigon, the Intro package of three 90-minute floats is the best value way to see whether floating suits you. Full details are on our pricing page.

Floating before a late flight or during a layover
Many flights out of Saigon leave late at night, and hotel check-out is usually at noon. Ōmni’s “Pre-flight reset” is a recommended combination for exactly that gap: a 90-minute float, a shower and luggage storage for up to four suitcases, for 1,900,000 VND. It also works for long layovers if you have enough time to leave the airport. Plan your timing backwards: allow 60–90 minutes by Grab to Tan Son Nhat, plus the time your airline recommends for check-in, and remember the last float starts at 20:00. On days of heavy rain, Ōmni offers a “Rainy-day pass” with 10% off, which cannot be combined with other offers.

Tips for your first float in a tropical city
- Drink water before you come, especially after a day in the heat.
- Do not shave or wax on the day, as the salt water stings fresh skin.
- Skip caffeine for a few hours beforehand if you want to relax deeply.
- Leave time afterwards to sit in the lounge rather than rushing back into traffic.
- Check whether floating suits you: do not float with open wounds, uncontrolled epilepsy or after alcohol, and ask your doctor first if you are pregnant or have heart or kidney conditions. See is float therapy safe.
